Emmanuel holds a Master’s Degreein Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from MUK. His passions, professional experience, and career aspirations align with the values that RELI espouses.
He has, over the years, held a hybrid of program management, design, and implementation as well as research and learning roles with Restless Development. For 6 years, he provided frontline leadership to a multi-country research and learning initiative, the Youth Think Tank, implemented across seven 7 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa [Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, and Ghana] to deliver a research agenda on youth education and work to inform and influence the Mastercard Foundation and partners to increase and improve the adoption of meaningful participatory approaches with their stakeholders and inform their Young Africa Works Strategy.
Having assumed the RELI Uganda Country Coordinator role in October 2021 to date, he supports the advancement of children’s learning outcomes for collective impact through shared learning.
He provides leadership and oversight to facilitate peer learning, collaboration, evidence generation, and policy influencing for a 24-member network, working through member organizations, and country-based thematic and Special Interest Groups.
He has led the development and launch of the RELI Uganda network strategy (2023-2026) that sets out to foster a collaborative voice to advance quality education for all children in Uganda.
